Job Summary

First Truck Centre is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of hydraulic truck-mounted equipment, cranes, bucket trucks, and hi-rail equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic truck-mounted equipment
  • Work with Foreman and Service Management to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Meet productivity and quality standards

Requirements

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate (Apprentice level 4 technician will be considered)
  • BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 is considered an asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy equipment
  • Proficiency in computerized scanning equipment and digital technology
