As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for our clients in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Your expertise will be crucial in leading the controls effort for projects from start to finish, including designing and documenting controls design, programming the control system, and commissioning the system at site until customer acceptance. You will also collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to ensure complete project coverage and coordinated design and implementation. Additionally, you will manage the controls design effort for assigned projects, manage project deliverables, design schedule, technical details, and interaction with other departments. Your strong technical skills and experience in instrumentation, PLC programming, and control systems design will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities:

* Design and document the controls scope for assigned projects
* Program and test documented algorithm according to coding standards
* Collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines
* Manage the controls design effort for assigned projects
* Author technical specifications
* Lead the controls start-up at site
* Create or modify standalone applications

Requirements:

* B.A.Sc./B.Sc. (or higher) in Engineering
* 4-6 years Controls Engineering work experience
* Self-starter with strong technical skills
* On-site Controls Startup experience
* Good English writing skills
* Experience in instrumentation and PLC programming
* Professional Engineer license or eligible
* Minimum Permanent Residency, Citizenship preferred
* Able to travel Internationally

Preferred:

* Experience with TIA Portal and/or Unity Pro/Control Expert
* Experience with communications protocols
* Experience with C# programming
* Experience with motion control
* Experience with 3rd party measurement systems
* Safety Programming experience
* Knowledge of process design
* Canadian Citizen
* Additional languages an asset

Salary: $95,000 per annum
