Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Foreperson to join our team for exciting infrastructure projects in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for leading teams to install deep utilities in challenging ground conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead crews to ensure safety, quality, and environmental protection on assigned projects
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew
  • Maintain accurate records of crew and equipment time, material receiving, production, and summary of activities on site
  • Train and develop crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with project superintendents to plan ahead and ensure materials and resources are available
  • Direct work from the front lines, ensuring crew members are working safely and efficiently
  • Meet punctuality and attendance expectations

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience leading crews on civil construction projects
  • Experience with Bid2Win (B2W) software is an asset
  • Strong safety knowledge and certifications (e.g., First Aid, Confined Space, Utility Locating, Rigging)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Benefits

This is a unionized position with LiUNA Local 1611 Construction & Specialized Workers' Union. You will enjoy union wages, extended healthcare and benefits, a pension plan, and access to training programs.

Compensation

The expected wage range for this position is $44.03 to $51.78 per hour, plus 12% vacation/statutory holiday pay.
