Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in the execution and management of energy storage initiatives. This position involves coordinating various project management and procurement activities, monitoring client commitments, managing customer interactions, and addressing any non-conformances or contract adjustments. A solid understanding of energy storage technologies, engineering fundamentals, and project management methodologies is highly desirable. Proven experience in project execution is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the procurement and project management teams in coordinating project-related tasks.
- Contribute to the development of project plans and communication materials.
- Proactively support schedule creation and milestone tracking.
- Assist the procurement manager in managing vendor commitments and relationships.
- Effectively relay project status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage the flow of communication for contract submissions, project reports, invoicing, vendor documentation, and other essential paperwork.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support subcontractor operations and oversee subcontractor scheduling.
- Identify and manage critical paths to ensure timely task completion.
- Address unique challenges as they arise.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of business management tools for project execution.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing revisions.
- Support the procurement manager in crafting proposals and contract documents.
- Monitor the status and compliance of project documentation.
- Review and verify project documents for completeness and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Submit project proposals for management approval and ensure approved documents are transmitted to clients.
- Promote exceptional customer service.
- Understand and advocate for Canadian Solar products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Procurement Manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of applicable experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and visual).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Experience with scheduling in MS Project (P6 is a plus).
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Professional demeanor and conduct.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as necessary.
- Valid Driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
