Job Summary

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director, Compliance to join our team in Toronto or Vancouver. As a key member of our Compliance program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret complex regulatory rules and developments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement new or amended compliance policies and procedures to maintain a strong compliance culture.
  • Provide expert advice and training to internal departments on various compliance matters.
  • Support the team's execution of second-line defense RCM activities, including monitoring, testing, reporting, and issue management.
  • Execute day-to-day compliance operational activities and tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work effectively within a team environment, cross-train, and provide backup to other team members as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience, preferably in the securities industry.
  • University or post-graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Law.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including National Instruments 31-103, 81-102, and 81-107.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and effective organization skills are essential.
  • Ethical and professional, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Experience in writing policies, procedures, compliance reports, and effective communication.
