Job Title: Dietitian, Registered

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian, Registered to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition advice and guidance to patients, healthcare professionals, and community groups.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering nutrition plans for food preparation and service programs, conducting research to improve nutritional programs and food service operations, and determining the appropriate food route when an individual prescription indicates that nutrition is a determining factor in the treatment of the disease. You will also develop nutrition plans for food service programs, evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health, and monitor the nutritional status of individuals who follow a predetermined nutritional treatment plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer nutrition plans for food preparation and service programs
  • Conduct research to improve nutritional programs and food service operations
  • Determine the appropriate food route when an individual prescription indicates that nutrition is a determining factor in the treatment of the disease
  • Develop nutrition plans for food service programs
  • Evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health
  • Monitor the nutritional status of individuals who follow a predetermined nutritional treatment plan
  • Provide nutrition guidance and consultation to health professionals, community groups, government or the media
Requirements:
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities
  • Clinical dietetics experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's licence
