We are seeking a skilled Welder Apprentice to join our team at WCTR Ltd. as a key member of our fabrication and repair department.
Key Responsibilities- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to precision-cut metal parts and products.
- Utilize previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Experience in metal fabrication and repair is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support for newcomers and refugees, including diversity and cross-cultural training.
- Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth and Indigenous workers.
- Permanent employment opportunity.
- English is the primary language of communication.
- 30 hours per week.
