About the Role

As a Home and Electronics Sales Associate at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services - CFMWS, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the set-up and maintenance of the electronics, computers, appliances, and furniture departments, providing technical and professional advice on sales and products offered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the set-up and maintenance of the electronics, computers, appliances, and furniture departments
  • Provide technical and professional advice on sales and products offered
  • Assist with ordering stock and ensure that shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed
  • Explain and sell extended warranty programs and accessories
  • Provide a variety of other retail services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services
  • Operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float
  • Take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas
Requirements
  • Education, Certifications and Licenses: An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
  • Food Handling Certification, as required
  • Experience: In electronics, computers equipment, furniture and appliances; In selling extended warranty and accessories; In cash handling; In sales and merchandising
  • Competencies: Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
  • Language Requirements: Bilingual (English and French) Essential; Reading: Basic; Writing: Basic; Oral: Functional
