Job Title: Health and Safety Plant Support

A leading company in the Midland area is seeking a Health and Safety Plant Support professional to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety professional to support our plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating Health & Safety Risk Assessments, maintaining MSDS, and ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and controlling occupational hazards requiring professional skills and abilities.
  • Apply knowledge of psychological and physiological factors to assist in the design of safety features and controls, compensating for the possibility of human errors in the operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Assist with accident investigations and follow-up with required corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Physically agile for moving and bending.
  • Ability to follow written specifications and instructions.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment and ability to make simple math calculations.
  • Work safety and responsibly and be a self-starter.
