About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Application Engineer with extensive experience in trading systems to oversee the application support team for our Horizon platform.

The successful candidate will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective support and problem-solving, maintaining application performance, and leading a team of support specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the application support team for the Horizon platform.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert-level support and resolve complex technical issues related to trading systems.
  • Platform Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and reliability of the Horizon platform.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development and product teams to address and resolve application issues.
  • Incident Management: Implement and manage incident and problem management processes.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation, including FAQs, user guides, and support procedures.
  • Training and Development: Conduct regular training and mentoring sessions for support team members.
  • Metrics Analysis: Gather and analyze support metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Escalation Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and critical incidents.
  • Client Communication: Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding support issues and resolutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in application support or a related role, with significant experience in trading systems ideally within banking sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and Rust programming languages.
  • Application Knowledge: Experience with application monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial Risk Management: Experience with financial risk management software or platforms.
  • AWS Experience: Knowledge of AWS computing platforms and services.
