About the Opportunity

The Bank of Canada is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the field of economics and finance. To support this goal, we are offering a Master's Scholarship Award for Women in Economics and Finance.

Key Highlights

  • Up to $10,000 CAD in scholarship funding

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
  2. Self-identify as a woman
  3. Be in their final two years of an undergraduate program with an average of 70 per cent or higher, or have completed an undergraduate degree with an overall average of 70 per cent or higher

Application Requirements

Candidates must submit the following documents:

  1. Resume
  2. Personal statement (500 words or less) that includes reflections on their reason(s) for pursuing further education in economics or finance, and what they hope to gain from this scholarship and work experience
  3. Official or unofficial transcripts of undergraduate academic record to date; OR proof of completion of an undergraduate program with official transcript

Selection Process

A selection committee will review all applications and select candidates for an interview. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
