Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, BC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide occupational therapy services to residents and clients in a residential and community-based setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess and develop individualized care plans to promote functional independence and occupational performance.
  2. Collaborate with residents, clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals.
  3. Provide education and training to residents, clients, and caregivers on independent living skills and occupational performance.
  4. Prescribe and recommend adaptive aids and equipment to enhance daily living activities.
  5. Conduct standardized individual recreation and leisure assessments to develop and implement therapeutic recreation and social programs.
  6. Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years of recent, related clinical experience in a residential, community, or home health setting.
  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and eligibility for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
