Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dentistry on Green Lane. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional oral health care services to our patients, including preventative hygiene services, oral health education, and patient loyalty building.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services for patient care
- Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening
- Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counseling
- Take dental radiographs, Itero scan, intra-oral pictures (training will be provided)
- Administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide as needed
- Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients' expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behavior
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining patient records
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
- Registered as a Dental Hygienist and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with ABELDent and digital radiography systems preferred
