Warehouse Associate Job Description

Overview:

As a Warehouse Associate at Fastenal, you will play a vital role in our operations, handling the movement of products and managing inventory. This is a part-time position located at our St. Whitecourt, AB branch.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain branch inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Receive, pick, package, and ship inventory, as well as perform cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Make local deliveries with a company vehicle as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards.
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old, due to the nature of the work.
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license, issued in the country where the job is located, and meet our driving record requirements.
  • Have proficient written and oral communication skills, as well as computer skills.
  • Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
  • Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience receiving, shipping, sorting, or managing inventory.
