The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team to support and enhance an enterprise application suite that aligns with the strategic goals of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing regular inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. This includes promptly identifying and rectifying leaks, blockages, and other issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Diagnosing plumbing issues and executing necessary repairs or replacements of damaged components, including valves, faucets, pipes, and other fixtures.
  • Conducting general preventive maintenance on buildings, industrial systems, and equipment, including pumps and various plumbing fixtures.
  • Executing pressure tests and leak tests to verify the integrity and safety of plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and building codes.
  • Maintaining detailed records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities, as well as documenting inspections and parts utilized.
  • Following safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials or working in confined spaces.
  • Supervising contractors when professional repairs are required.
  • Identifying mechanical and plumbing issues and implementing corrective measures.
  • Repairing machinery and equipment as necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial plumbing environment is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with industrial plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Willingness to work in industrial and outdoor settings, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Physical requirements include frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching, with the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Shift work may be necessary.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 34kg (75lb).
