About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at A&W. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Package take-out food
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  • Short order cooking and food preparation
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment where you will be standing for extended periods and working under pressure. You will be part of a team that is client-focused, flexible, and a team player.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
