Overview

As a Loader Operator at Paper Excellence, you will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of logs and materials within our operations. Your expertise in operating heavy machinery will ensure that our processes run smoothly and safely.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.

At least 1 year of experience in operating wheel loaders is required.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in operating heavy equipment, including models such as 980 and Wagner loaders.

Familiarity with various log species and their appropriate storage methods.

Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of safety gear.

Certifications and Licenses:

A valid driver's license is strongly preferred.

Possession of a valid first aid level 3 certificate or a willingness to obtain this certification is a plus.

Additional Criteria:

Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Completion of pre-employment screening processes, including reference checks and work verification.

Ability to commute to the workplace on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently unload trucks, distribute logs, feed the mill, categorize logs by paint markings, and load logs onto bundle racks.

Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment prior to use.

Maintain a tidy work environment consistently.

Participate in cross-training across different operational areas as required.
