Job Title: Millwright

Express Employment Professionals - Red Deer, AB is seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team.

About the Job:

We are looking for a skilled Millwright to contribute to our dynamic team at our Red Deer facility. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and installation of machinery and equipment using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment
  • Keep accurate and legible records
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform all work in a safe manner by strictly following safety procedures
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic/Hydraulic Mechanic - IP Red Seal preferred
  • Experience using various tools and equipment, including air impact and electric wrenches, pipe fitting tools, hoists, jackhammers, cutting torches, and welding equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Aptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge and ability to use computer programs
  • Strong written, oral communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills, with exposure to geometry and trigonometry preferred
Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment physical (including audiometric testing, vision, and strength)
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Availability for day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays (12 shifts - 48 and 36 hours alternating weekly)
