Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kinderbrook Montessori School. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
