Job Title: IT SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team at Procon Mining & Tunnelling Ltd. This is a critical role within our Information Technology (IT) department, and the successful candidate will contribute to the management of our company's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Level 1 and 2 support for operating systems, software, hardware, mobile devices, and networks
- Create images and perform backups as needed on laptops and workstations
- Maintain and support internal and third-party software, and escalate issues to vendors when necessary
- Develop and deploy technologies to automate maintenance, security, and deployment processes for workstations and mobile devices
- Conduct research and resolve issues within the scope of responsibility
- Create or update technical support documentation
- Modify and improve procedures as needed
- Provide on-site and remote support
- Occasionally manage special projects
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of the following:
- Windows 10 & 11, Windows Servers 2016 or 2019
- Active Directory and O365. Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center is an asset
- Networking: support and troubleshooting
- Multi-function printers
- IOS and Android
- ITIL v4 Foundation, A+, Network+, or Sec+ certifications are an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pertinent documentation and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities, time, and deadlines, while working in a fast-paced environment
- Motivation to work in a team and ability to manage changing priorities
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
- Ability to travel
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work long hours when necessary
