Job Title: Computer Network Technician

Mr Fix Computers Ltd is seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks to ensure efficient data transfer and communication.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and data.
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records and ensuring network integrity.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Organized and methodical approach to work, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
