Key Responsibilities:- Warehouse Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections to ensure the warehouse is clean and well-maintained, meeting all store audit performance requirements.
- Recycling and Waste Management: Manage the timely pickup of all recycled products and waste, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
- General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks as required, ensuring the building is well-maintained and secure.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and lead the warehouse team to achieve productivity goals, providing strong leadership and coaching.
- Inventory Management: Manage the safe and efficient delivery, storage, and placement of merchandise from the truck into the warehouse and/or onto the retail floor.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Ensure the warehouse is appropriately staffed through effective planning and scheduling, adhering to store budget.
- Daily and Seasonal Activities: Plan and manage daily/weekly activities, as well as seasonal changeovers, working with the team to execute them.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and assist team members in daily operations to meet established productivity goals.
- Inventory Tracking: Track the number of items stolen or damaged in the warehouse, notifying the Store Manager of all empty containers found.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of damages, shortages, overages, claims, and returns on all incoming merchandise and outgoing returns.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company, store, and warehouse policies, as well as health and safety programs and regulations.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and ensure team member training is completed on time, as required.
- Employee Selection and Orientation: Assist in selecting and orientating new employees, store opening and closing responsibilities.
- Conflict Resolution: Address issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
- Team Meetings: Organize and conduct regular warehouse team meetings and actively participate in store management meetings.
- Logistics Experience: Proven experience in logistics and inventory management.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and/or managerial experience or relevant experience.
- Basic Skills: Basic math and computer skills, attention to detail, and certification to operate all lift equipment.
- Transportation and Safety: Trained in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and the handling of firearms.
- Customer Service: Strong orientation towards customer service excellence and a belief in the Canadian Tire Values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Results-Oriented: Results-oriented individual who thrives in achieving challenging goals.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve common goals in a fast-paced environment, displaying a team-oriented approach.
