This market encompasses a wide range of vehicles, including class 4 to 7 commercial delivery trucks, recreational vehicles, and utility vehicles, which have historically been underserved.
Utilizing a robust foundation of proprietary vehicle technologies developed in-house, Harbinger is set to launch an innovative EV platform that promises significant improvements in vehicle performance, durability, and operator comfort.
Crucially, our vehicles will be competitively priced to eliminate the acquisition premium typically associated with traditional gasoline and diesel vehicles, thereby addressing a major barrier to electric vehicle adoption.
Role OverviewAs a Field Service Engineering Specialist, you will play a vital role within the Customer Deployments team, becoming a key subject matter expert in supporting Harbinger's fleet of deployed vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with Engineering and external service partners to ensure optimal fleet support and maximum vehicle uptime.
- Advising customers on the installation of charging infrastructure at their facilities.
- Providing remote technical support for customer fleets.
- Delivering field support during special events and testing phases.
- Assisting customers with the installation of charging equipment.
- Supporting engineering prototype builds.
- Influencing design for service considerations.
- Managing tools and shop organization, including inventory management.
- Conducting root cause analysis and hands-on testing.
- Developing and trialing service procedures.
- Training internal technicians and service network trainers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a vehicle workshop or dealership.
- Experience in electrical systems construction is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of building electrical systems and familiarity with electrical building codes.
- The ability to interface seamlessly with diverse technical disciplines.
- A valid driver's license.
- Factory training programs through OEMs are a plus.
- Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication.
- A creative problem-solving mindset and a collaborative work ethic.
