We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Bakery on Mavis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that all products meet our established standards.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to a high standard.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a bakery environment with exposure to flour, sugar, and other ingredients.
  • May be required to work in a hot kitchen environment with exposure to heat and steam.
  • May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Language:
  • English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
Work Schedule:
  • 30-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
