Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of horticulture workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop and implement plans for horticulture projects, estimating labour and material costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise the installation of plants, trees, and other landscape features, ensuring they are installed correctly and meet our quality standards.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support our horticulture operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure our team is productive and effective.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in horticulture or a related field.
