Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional registered nursing services to patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Take a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pediatric or neonatal setting.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
