About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Cascades. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems in a manufacturing environment
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment and systems
  • Assemble equipment through machine shop methods, including welding, fastening, and riveting
  • Operate machine shop equipment for general modification and equipment fabrication/building
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PMs, and updating equipment databases
  • Support divisional and corporate objectives, including health and safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, waste, and 5S

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must hold a valid 309A or 442A license
  • Must have previous experience or be licensed to use a scissor lift and a forklift
  • Experience repairing extruders, printing presses, or other automated packaging machinery
  • Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Able to work a 9-hour shift rotation of days, afternoons, and alternate weekends
