The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in the success of PepsiCo Beverages Canada by ensuring product availability to meet customer demands and enhance operational efficiency. This position involves collaborating with a co-supervisor to lead, develop, and train a skilled team of frontline unionized staff, including Order Pickers and Forklift Operators. Key responsibilities encompass engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing equipment readiness, strategizing to boost picking efficiency, managing warehouse inventory, and coordinating the transport and receipt of finished goods while working closely with other departments to foster overall enhancements.
Responsibilities Adherence to all Health & Safety regulations and Quality Control standards Enhancing team capabilities through recruitment, training, and onboarding of unionized hourly personnel Implementing the Warehouse Annual Operating Plan Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges Monitoring performance metrics through proactive coaching, effective communication, and relationship building within the team Transferring knowledge of warehouse operations to others, including resource needs, layout, transport loading, and compliance with Department Of Transportation (DOT) regulations Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required Experience in consumer-packaged goods or a related field is preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities Openness to adapt and learn as business needs evolve Previous leadership experience in a unionized setting is advantageous Practical experience in implementing operational processes is beneficialSkills and Capabilities
Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends to accommodate business requirements and coverage Strong planning and organizational skills Proficient in intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365The Company
