Job Title: Personal Support Worker

At Extendicare Canada Inc., we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to residents, including ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, dressing, and transferring.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working in long-term care or community home care settings, with a focus on dementia and palliative care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, as well as follow verbal and written instructions.
