POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing ConMed Canada's monthly financial reporting and performance evaluation, overseeing sales tracking and reconciliation, and assisting with month-end closing procedures. This position is crucial for enhancing ConMed Canada's brand performance dashboards, reporting methodologies, and distributor tracking to ensure informed decision-making within Sales & Marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting:

  1. Assist in the monthly financial reporting cycle, including variance analysis and brand performance metrics.
  2. Generate ad-hoc financial analyses and reports to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  3. Continuously refine financial processes, dashboards, and systems to boost efficiency and precision.

Sales Tracking & Reconciliation:

  1. Examine distributor tracking reports and collaborate with the Contracts team for monthly reconciliations.
  2. Engage with distributors to modify pricing based on reconciliation outcomes.
  3. Input tracking data into Oracle to accurately represent sales by customer and product monthly.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate distributor rebates and manage quarterly rebate adjustments.
  2. Process weekly expense reimbursement payments.
  3. Conduct month-end closing entries and reconciliations.
  4. Assign customer sales.
  5. Support the preparation of budgeting and forecasting.
  6. Assist in auditing the annual inventory count.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related field.
  2. Experience with Oracle is advantageous.
  3. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  4. Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  5. Ability to manage stress effectively and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
  6. Capacity to quickly learn new ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various management levels.
  8. Excellent financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  9. Understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  10. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  11. Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
