Ontario Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track role at the Assistant Professor level, focusing on software engineering. The ideal candidate will have a robust research background encompassing various domains such as software development, management, quality assurance, security, machine learning, and other innovative fields.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Engage in active and pioneering research initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Possess a PhD in Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate a strong academic foundation and a proven track record of excellence in research, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Exhibit potential for exceptional teaching contributions and possess excellent proficiency in the English language.

The workload distribution for this position will be 40% dedicated to research, 40% to teaching, and 20% to service responsibilities each year.

This position is part of the bargaining unit represented by the UOIT Faculty Association and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective agreement. The starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
