Job Title: Church Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Church Caretaker to join our team at Saint Joseph's Parish. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our church and surrounding grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the church and its facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and making minor repairs.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other equipment as needed.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Assist with special events and functions, such as weddings and funerals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Parish Administrator.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
