About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpentry Assistant to join our team at Planet Wood Exteriors Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Transport Materials: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Structures: Help in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
  • Earthwork and Cleanup: Level earth to fine grade specifications and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants at construction sites.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Maintenance and Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy materials.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular 40-hour workweek.
  • Work Language: English.
