Civil Foreperson Job Opportunity
NorLand Limited, a leading specialized construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Civil Foreperson to join our team in Victoria. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and performance of crews on various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct crews on challenging projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and performance standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew.
- Maintain accurate records of crew and equipment time, material receiving, production, and summary of activity on site.
- Provide training and development opportunities for crew members.
- Collaborate with Superintendents to plan and prepare for projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Act as a working foreperson when needed, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment on company and client job sites.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading crews on civil projects, with a strong background in construction management.
- Proven safety knowledge and experience in the construction industry, with a focus on WorkSafe Regulations and industry best practices.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation:
The expected wage range for this position is $39.32 - $43.00 per hour, with exact compensation based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and other criteria.
