As the Optical Department Manager, you will be the go-to expert in all aspects of Optical services. The Optical market is rapidly evolving, and Loblaw has ambitious plans for growth. Each of our Optical clinics, conveniently located within our grocery stores, plays a vital role in serving our customers. We aim to provide exceptional service, outstanding product quality, and unparalleled value through our world-class PC Optimum program. Our mission is to deliver affordable, high-quality eyewear to more Canadians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a vibrant and dynamic environment.
- Manage employee scheduling and labor resources effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with Head Office.
- Achieve and surpass Optical sales objectives.
- Provide training and support to staff in Optical services.
- Conduct measurements, fittings, adjustments, repairs, and dispensing of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and specialty eyewear, in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Oversee product ordering and inventory management.
- Build and lead diverse teams that promote inclusivity and belonging in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Provincially licensed in the relevant jurisdiction with a minimum of one year of Optical experience.
- Management experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Highly organized, diligent, and possess strong time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- A passion for fashion, eyewear, and the retail sector.
