We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at 2203552 ONTARIO INC. as a key member of our IT department.
Key Responsibilities- Data Security: Develop and implement measures to ensure unauthorized users cannot access sensitive data.
- Data Management: Liaise with staff to understand data requirements, collection, and availability, ensuring seamless data flow across the organization.
- IT Infrastructure: Design and set up the IT infrastructure to enable applications to access databases efficiently.
- Database Development: Design and develop databases to meet the organization's data storage needs.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures for network access, data usage, backup, and recovery.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards, and models.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Proficiency in database software, MS Office, and strong organizational skills.
- Work Environment: The ideal candidate will be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, organized, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Work Arrangements: Permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week.
- Language: English language proficiency.
