The Textile Museum of Canada is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its Director & CEO. As the only national museum dedicated to the collection, exhibition, and documentation of global textiles, we are looking for an individual who can drive our mission forward.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished professional to lead our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the textile industry and a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the museum's mission and goals
- Lead a team of curators, conservators, and educators to create engaging exhibitions and programs
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including collectors, donors, and industry partners
- Oversee the acquisition, conservation, and exhibition of the museum's textile collections
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile history, conservation, or a related field, as well as significant experience in a leadership role. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
