Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to become part of our team as a Senior Forensic Community Nurse. This position involves overseeing and coordinating daily operations, delivering clinical guidance, and ensuring high-quality care for clients in a forensic psychiatric environment.
- Oversee staff activities to guarantee effective delivery of client care
- Serve as a clinical expert for the multidisciplinary team
- Provide information regarding matters related to the BC Review Board
- Mentor team members and organize staff training sessions
- Manage requests for leave of absence
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current registration to practice
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Understanding of nursing principles and practices in Forensic Psychiatric Nursing
- Awareness of applicable legislation and professional practice standards
- Commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism initiatives
