Senior DevOps Engineer

Join NearSource Technologies as a Senior DevOps Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for a multinational Fortune 500 project in Canada. As a key member of the dynamic team, you will shape technological excellence and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new cloud-based services on top of a strong foundation
  • Support development teams in leveraging machine learning operations (MLOps)
  • Drive the design, implementation, and management of observability infrastructure, staying up-to-date with new technologies
  • Lead incident response, postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities
  • Collaborate with software development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain multiple business offerings
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Manage and secure cloud-based environments (AWS)
  • Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Collaborate in designing and implementing security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipelines
  • Participate in OnCall responsibilities alongside fellow team members
  • Define and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SRE
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in DevOps/SRE or a related field
  • 5 years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Expertise with container-based technologies, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
  • Expertise with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, and cloud automation, e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Good understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Experience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools
  • Great programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell
  • Experience in Linux Systems Administration, scripting, and troubleshooting in a production environment
  • Relevant certifications, e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications
  • Experience with microservices, serverless architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana
  • Knowledge in Jenkins, Groovy, CDK
