Mission

Terus Construction, a Division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is in search of a full-time Loader Operator for its operations.

Responsibilities
  • Load materials from stockpiles to designated piles and vehicles.
  • Operate a wash plant with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Utilize all heavy machinery in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Conduct daily maintenance and safety inspections of equipment.
  • Perform pre-operational checks on machinery, ensuring cleanliness, lubrication, and refilling as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of facilities.
  • Position heavy equipment for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Engage in and uphold the principles outlined in the company safety program.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask while being self-motivated.
  • Capable of working independently while fostering a positive and safe work environment in collaboration with team members and management in a physically demanding and fast-paced setting.
  • Possess the ability to recognize and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including lubrication, belt splicing, and cleaning.
  • Hold a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, work in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and heights, while possessing the necessary personal protective equipment and steel-toed footwear.
  • First Aid and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Employment Terms:
Seasonal Full-time (April-November) with overtime and weekend work as required by business needs.
