The Pro Shop Associate is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product expertise to our fishing and hunting customers. As a Pro Shop Associate, you will be the go-to expert for all things fishing and hunting, helping customers find the right products and providing guidance on technical specifications and product features.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer fishing and hunting related questions and provide expert advice on product information, technical features, and methods of operation.
- Recommend related products to customers to ensure they leave with everything they need.
- Direct customers to resources on fishing and hunting laws, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on new products, trends, and emerging technologies to remain a product expert.
- Ensure retail tasks are executed efficiently, including stocking, labeling, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Perform inventory checks to ensure accuracy and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Network and build relationships with vendors and local community fishing and hunting organizations.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and expertise in fishing and hunting, including rods, reels, fishing equipment, and hunting apparel, ammunition, and firearms.
- Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) is required.
- Knowledge of fishing and hunting regulations.
- Solid work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Approachable and highly customer-oriented, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including standing, walking, and lifting.
