The Risk Management Specialist at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is tasked with delivering expert advice and support for the establishment of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiative. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams, including Internal Audit and Information Technology, to ensure the effective implementation of the GRC system. The Specialist will be instrumental in formulating strategies, frameworks, and tools aimed at improving risk management methodologies within the organization.

  • Craft a persuasive vision for GRC implementation and allocate resources effectively.
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive framework for the deployment of the GRC system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute tools and processes for the GRC initiative.
  • Offer expertise and insights on risk management methodologies and internal audit requirements.
  • Foster relationships throughout the organization to enhance understanding and acceptance of GRC practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or computer science.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management.
  • Proven leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and GRC systems.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas in a straightforward and effective manner.

Desirable Skills:

  • Fluency in both French and English.
