Key Responsibilities- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and software developers to conceptualize, architect, and implement DER solutions that meet customer business and technical objectives.
- Project Planning and Execution: Plan, execute, and monitor DER control system projects and solutions, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and coordination with Business Developers, Vendors, and Customers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Architecture and Design: Create architecture and design documentation for data acquisition and control solutions based on Customer or ISO/RTO market entry requirements.
- Communication and Cyber Standards: Employ industry-standard communications methods and cyber standards, such as DNP3 / Modbus / ICCP, to ensure secure and reliable data transfer.
- Site Acceptance Testing and Commissioning: Support the installation of solutions, including site acceptance testing and commissioning at industrial or electrical utility customer facilities.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Manage and provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to BESS, SCADA, and communication systems and other solution components.
- Process Development: Develop internal processes and documentation to ensure smooth, efficient, and repeatable DER site control system design, implementation, and support operations.
- University Degree: Hold a University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management and architecture development of DER Control Systems, such as SCADA software, such as Ignition and SEL RTACs.
- Control Systems Design and Implementation: Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems, with a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid integration, and energy storage solutions.
- Energy Management Systems and SCADA Systems: Knowledge of energy management systems (EMS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, such as Ignition and Tesla controllers.
- Software Architecture and Integration: Knowledge of software architecture, programming, and integration technologies.
- Industry Standards and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Certifications: Certifications such as PMP or PEng are advantageous.
