About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Friends Concrete Cutting Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and tools.
  • Remove Debris and Rubble: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Tend to Equipment: Tend to and feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, underground, in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Under Pressure: Work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
  • Physically Demanding: Physically demanding work requiring heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe work practices.
Security and Safety
  • Criminal Record Check: Must undergo a criminal record check.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
