Job Title: Full Stack PHP Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack PHP Engineer to join our team at VML South Africa. As a Full Stack PHP Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end and back-end components of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Build robust and scalable server-side applications using languages such as Python, PHP, or.NET, and frameworks like Django, Symfony, or Laravel.
  • Design, implement, and manage relational and non-relational databases to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Conduct thorough unit testing of applications to identify and fix bugs, ensure functionality, and maintain high performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Strong knowledge of server-side languages (e.g., Python, PHP,.Net) and frameworks (e.g., Django, Symfony, or Laravel).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB).
  • Expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub/Bitbucket for version control.
