Position Overview

Position Title: Part-Time Faculty - Health

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring enthusiasm and dedication to the following program areas within the College's School of Health, including Nursing, Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene, Medical Lab Assistant, Medical Radiation Technology, Paramedic, and Personal Support Worker.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging courses and/or labs.
  • Facilitate student engagement in both traditional and distance learning environments, ensuring awareness of curriculum and academic progression.
  • Create a supportive learning atmosphere utilizing diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Assess student progress and achievement through a variety of evaluative methods.
  • Actively contribute to student success and provide guidance on course selections and career opportunities.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the School's programs.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • A postsecondary qualification (degree preferred) in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the applicable field.
  • Expertise in both in-person instruction and distributed learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching or training experience at the postsecondary or corporate level.
  • Experience working with First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit communities.
  • Experience with international students and diverse populations.
  • A commitment to educational equity and diversity.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching techniques.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and educational technology.
