Job Title: Summer Internship II

Work Location: Bakersfield Area

Reports to: Department Manager

Compensation: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour (dependent on year in college)

Job Purpose:

The Summer Internship II position at Grimmway Farms is designed to provide current junior and senior students with hands-on work experience in their degree field. This 10-12 week internship, typically taking place from May to August, offers a paid opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in a professional organization.

Essential Job Functions:

As a Summer Intern II, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Assisting in departmental projects and initiatives
  • Developing and implementing solutions to real-world problems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Analyzing data and providing insights to inform business decisions

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role may include:

  • Frequent movement within the office, food processing facilities, and/or farming fields
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment
  • Occasional need to remain in a stationary position throughout the working day
  • Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures (30°F to 110°F)
  • Ability to inspect equipment and product

Job Qualifications:

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be a qualified individual authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Be an actively enrolled full-time college student with a junior/senior classification and at least one semester remaining prior to graduation
