Job Title: Cashier

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Canadian Tire Gas Bar 1869. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash handling area and surrounding areas
  • Restock shelves and supplies as needed
  • Participate in promotional activities and suggest products to customers
  • Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
