Production Manager

Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production activities of our bakery, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage production schedules to meet customer demands
  • Monitor and control production costs, inventory, and waste
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with SQF standards
  • Lead and develop a high-performing production team, providing coaching and training as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Develop and implement production standards, safety standards, and quality standards to improve operational efficiency
  • Manage and track performance metrics and KPIs, including OEE and waste performance

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Strong knowledge of production procedures, methodologies, and quality control principles
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds once per hour and 10 to 50 pounds repeatedly
