About the Role

Viking Ventures Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials according to building codes.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work under tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
